Community Health Nursing

Course addresses epidemiology, community assessment methods, program planning and evaluation.  Topics include immunization programs, screening initiatives, health education and social determinants of health.  Emphasis on community engagement, culturally appropriate interventions, and program evaluation metrics.

Community nursing extends nursing impact from individual to population level.  Population health methods and community based intervention strategies.  Conduct community assessments, design small scale interventions, and evaluate program outcomes using basic metrics.
